When I started Black Girl World Traveller I had a mission to see myself represented in the places I wanted to go in the world. When I first started out, I researched and found only only one blog about a solo back female traveller.

I knew that narrative had to change. It is my hope that with Black Girl World Traveller little black girls see themselves represented in places they want to go or may have never heard about.

Fear and self-doubt are normal, but you can’t let that hold you back. Use it to fuel your passion and live to tell the story.

Travel has made me realize that I am my biggest asset. Although self-care should be an inherent part our daily practice, unfortunately we take ourselves for granted.

After traveling to over twenty countries, I have realized that I must love and take care of myself because I am the only one who will take care of me in the end.

Traveling is a form of education that opens up your mind and makes you a more tolerant, understanding, and open person.

It is my hope that my this course lets you know that you and only you have the final say in where you go.
